Your photos stay on your phone.

Simply Monitor is made by Foggo Apps. It connects your iPhone to your Sony camera. It has no account, no sign-in and no analytics in the app, and it sends nothing about you to us or to anyone else. This page says what the app can reach on your phone and why.

What the app can access

• Bluetooth and the local network. To find the camera, pair with it, and receive its live picture and photos over the camera's own Wi‑Fi or a USB‑C cable. The link is between the phone and the camera only.
• Location. Only if you turn on Location in Settings. The phone's position goes to the camera over Bluetooth, and the camera writes it into your photos. The app keeps no record of where you have been.
• Photos. To save photos, videos and behind‑the‑scenes recordings into your library. The app can add to your library; it does not read your existing photos.
• Files and folders. If you pick a folder, including a USB drive, as a destination for originals or backups, the app writes your camera's files there. It reads that folder only to avoid saving the same file twice.
• Microphone. Only if you turn on Ambient Audio, to put your surroundings on the behind‑the‑scenes video, and only while a take is recording.
• Speech recognition. Only if you turn on Voice Control. "Start Snap" and "Stop Snap" are recognised on the phone. No audio leaves the device.

Each of these is explained on screen before iOS asks for it, and each can be turned off again in the iPhone's Settings.

What stays on the phone

Live view frames, photos, recordings, markers, presets, recipes, the backup queue and the app's own log are stored on your iPhone, in the app's folder and in the places you choose. Nothing is uploaded. Subject detection for Auto Shot runs on the phone.

What leaves the phone, and only when you send it

• Send Diagnostics (Settings › Support) builds a zip with the app's log and what your camera reports about itself: model, firmware, settings, nothing from your photos. You choose whether and where to send it, usually by email to us. We use it to fix the problem you wrote about and delete it afterwards.
• Share sheet. When you send a photo or a recording to another app, AirDrop or a drive, that file goes where you point it.

Purchases

Simply Monitor Pro is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment and tells the app only that the purchase is valid. We don't see your name, card or address.

Children

The app is not aimed at children under 13 and collects nothing from anyone.

This website

foggoapps.com uses Vercel's privacy‑friendly analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies and doesn't identify you.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date.
