Counting and accuracy
How does Simply Jump count my jumps?
Simply Jump reads motion from one source at a time. Headphones use motion data from supported Apple or Beats headphones. iPhone uses the iPhone's device motion sensor. Apple Watch uses motion from your wrist and sends the workout to the iPhone.
The app looks for the vertical movement of a jump and checks its rhythm before it credits a run of jumps. Raw motion stays on the device. The saved session keeps the resulting count and workout details.
Which headphones work?
Use supported Apple or Beats headphones with motion sensing. Simply Jump asks the headphone motion service whether motion is available, so the exact result depends on the hardware and software Apple makes available on your device.
I do not publish a model list here because support can change with Apple's hardware and OS releases. Put the headphones in, select Headphones in the workout setup, and keep the setup screen open while it connects. The app shows Headphones connected when motion is streaming.
Where should I put my iPhone?
A secure hip pocket, armband or running belt gives the iPhone a clear view of your body's vertical movement. A hand-held phone can work too, but loose swinging adds motion that is harder to separate from a jump. Keep it with you and avoid changing how you hold it during a set.
Select iPhone as the tracking source and allow Motion & Fitness access. The setup card shows iPhone motion ready when the sensor is streaming.
What can I do if the count looks low or high?
Use one source for the whole workout, keep it secure, and jump with a steady rhythm. Give the source a moment to connect before tapping Start. The detector waits for a consistent run, so the first few movements can take a moment to settle. If the status says it is waiting, keep the setup screen open and check Motion & Fitness permission.
No motion counter is perfect in every rope style or placement. If a repeatable problem remains, email the source, device, iOS version and a short description of the jump style to Foggoapps@gmail.com.
Apple Watch
How do I set up the Apple Watch companion?
Pair the Watch with your iPhone and install the Simply Jump Watch app. On iPhone, choose Watch in the workout setup. The app can start the Watch workout for you, or you can open the Watch app and choose a mode from Workout.
The Watch has Open, Jumps, Time and HIIT modes. Tap Start on the Watch after setting a target. Keep the Watch fitted on your wrist while you jump. A paired Watch with the app installed is enough for the iPhone to show Apple Watch ready; live counts appear once the Watch is streaming.
Why does the Watch say “Start your free trial on iPhone”?
The Watch workout modes require Simply Jump Pro. Start the eligible trial or purchase Pro on the iPhone, then open the Watch app again so it can receive the updated access state.
Apple Health
What does Simply Jump use Apple Health for?
If you grant access, Simply Jump can save completed jump-rope workouts and active energy, and can use heart-rate data during a workout. It also asks to read workouts, heart rate, active energy, steps and body mass so the app can use the health data you choose to share. Raw motion is handled on the device and is not uploaded as a sensor stream.
How do I change Health permissions?
In the iPhone Health app, open your profile, choose Apps, choose Simply Jump, then turn individual read or write permissions on or off. You can also tap Apple Health in Simply Jump Settings. If access was denied, that button opens iPhone Settings.
Apple's guide has the current steps for managing app access and deleting records: Manage Health data on iPhone.
Simply Jump Pro
Who gets the 7-day trial?
Apple decides eligibility for the introductory offer. If your Apple Account is eligible, the monthly and yearly plans show Start 7-day free trial. The trial is followed by the selected plan price. The lifetime purchase is a one-time unlock and has no trial.
The listed US prices are $3.99 per month, $12.99 per year, or $24.99 once for lifetime access. The App Store shows the local price and the exact offer before you confirm.
How do I cancel before I am charged?
On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose Simply Jump, then tap Cancel Subscription. Apple says to cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or billing period ends if you do not want it to renew. If there is no Cancel button or an expiry message is shown, it is already cancelled.
See Apple's current instructions in Cancel a subscription from Apple.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open Simply Jump Settings, choose Restore Purchases, and use the same Apple Account that made the purchase. The app shows either Your Pro access has been restored. or No previous purchases were found for this Apple Account.
Restoring does not start a new trial. If the purchase is missing, check the Apple Account on the receipt and make sure the App Store can connect.
Leaderboard and data
How does my leaderboard name work?
During setup or in Settings, enter a name in Your name. It can be up to 30 characters. The app filters names that are not suitable for a public board. When sharing is on, the chosen display name, score date, daily jump total and level can appear on the public leaderboard.
How do I report a leaderboard entry?
Open the entry's menu on the leaderboard and choose the report action. It opens an email to Foggoapps@gmail.com with the entry ID and name. Add the reason for your report before sending.
How do I opt out of the public leaderboard?
Open Settings, find Leaderboard profile, and turn off Show me on leaderboards. Simply Jump checks that toggle before submitting a score. Turning it off stops future submissions from this device. It does not erase a score that was already submitted.
How do I delete my Simply Jump data?
Local app data: the app stores workout history, settings and Jump Coin state on the device. The current app has no in-app Delete button. To clear that local store, remove Simply Jump from your iPhone. Reinstalling starts a new local store.
The Watch companion is a separate app target and can have its own local app state and Health workout records. Simply Jump does not currently provide a Watch-side Delete button, so do not assume that removing the iPhone app removes Watch or Health data. Manage those records in the Watch or Health apps.
Leaderboard data: turn off Show me on leaderboards to stop future submissions. The current app has no in-app control to erase an already submitted leaderboard row. Email Foggoapps@gmail.com with the display name and the request so I can review the server-side record.
Apple Health data: Simply Jump cannot delete records from Health for you. Manage the Simply Jump permissions in the Health app, and delete the individual workout or health records there if you want them removed. Apple keeps Health data under your control on your devices and in your iCloud settings.
