The short version: Raw motion, HealthKit data, and workout history stay on your device. If you use global leaderboards, limited data is handled by Supabase as described below. Simply Jump shows no ads.
Data We Process
Most Simply Jump features work entirely on-device. The app does not use third-party analytics. Global leaderboards use an anonymous Supabase account and process the display name you enter, an anonymous user identifier, score date, daily jump total, and current level. We do not require your email address for leaderboards.
Motion Sensors (AirPods, iPhone & Apple Watch)
Simply Jump reads motion data from your AirPods, iPhone, or Apple Watch to count your jumps in real time. This data is processed entirely on-device and is never transmitted to any server. We do not store the raw sensor stream — only the resulting jump count for your session.
HealthKit
When you grant permission, Simply Jump saves your completed workouts to Apple Health as Jump Rope workouts, including duration, active calories, and average heart rate. Simply Jump reads heart rate from HealthKit during live sessions to display your current bpm. All HealthKit access happens on-device. We never transmit or share your HealthKit data.
Sessions & Achievements
Your session history, goal streak, and achievements are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database (SwiftData). We do not back up, mirror, or transmit this data.
Global Leaderboards (Supabase)
Simply Jump uses Supabase to provide daily, weekly, monthly, and level leaderboards. The app creates a random anonymous account and submits your display name, score date, daily jump total, and level. Leaderboard names and scores are visible to other users. Supabase processes this data to host and secure the leaderboard service. Raw motion data, HealthKit data, and individual workout details are not submitted.
Ads
Simply Jump does not show ads and does not track you across other apps or websites.
In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Your Pro status is stored locally on your device.
3D Character
The mascot you customize, your Jump Coin balance, and outfit ownership are stored locally on your device as preferences. Profile-card photos or videos are written to your Photos library only after you tap Photo or Video and grant permission.
Notifications
Simply Jump can send optional reminder notifications at a time you choose. These are handled entirely on-device by iOS.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We disclose only the limited information needed for the services you choose to use: Supabase for global leaderboards, Apple for App Store purchases and Apple Health features, and Vercel for basic operation of this policy website.
Children
Simply Jump is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
