Terms of Service

By accessing or using StepPup, you confirm that:

• You are at least 13 years of age, or have parental consent to use the app
• You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service
• You agree to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data
• You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

StepPup grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Download and install the app on devices you own or control
• Use the app for your personal, non-commercial purposes
• Access features and content provided within the app

This license does not allow you to:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the app or its content
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
• Use the app for any commercial purpose without permission

When using StepPup, you agree to:

• Use the app only for its intended purpose as a fitness and entertainment application
• Provide accurate information when using Game Center features
• Respect other users if participating in leaderboards
• Not attempt to manipulate game data, leaderboards, or achievements
• Not use automated scripts, bots, or hacks to gain unfair advantages
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

StepPup is designed to encourage physical activity and make walking more enjoyable. However, please be aware:

• Consult your physician before starting any new exercise program
• Step counts and calorie calculations are estimates and may not be 100% accurate
• Listen to your body and stop exercising if you feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort
• Stay aware of your surroundings while walking — don't focus solely on the app
• Follow traffic laws and use designated walking paths when possible

By using the app's fitness features, you acknowledge that you are doing so at your own risk and assume all responsibility for any injury or harm that may result from your physical activities.

StepPup features virtual currency (coins) and virtual items that can be earned through gameplay:

• Virtual currency and items have no real-world monetary value
• Virtual currency cannot be exchanged for real money or transferred to other users
• We reserve the right to modify, adjust, or reset virtual currencies and items
• If the app is discontinued, virtual currencies and items will no longer be accessible

All virtual currency and items are earned through walking and in-game activities — there are no in-app purchases in StepPup.

StepPup integrates with Apple Game Center for leaderboards and achievements. By using Game Center features:

• You agree to Apple's Game Center Terms of Service
• Your Game Center display name may be visible to other players on leaderboards
• Your walking statistics (steps, distance) may appear on public leaderboards
• We may remove users from leaderboards for cheating or manipulation

Game Center participation is optional. You can enjoy StepPup without connecting to Game Center.

All content in StepPup is protected by intellectual property laws:

• The app name, logo, and branding are our trademarks
• All artwork, animations, sounds, and music are our copyrighted works
• Game mechanics, designs, and features are our proprietary property
• User interface elements and visual designs are protected

You may not use our intellectual property without written permission, except as necessary to use the app as intended.

StepPup is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties regarding the accuracy of step counts, distance, or calorie data
• Warranties that the app will meet your specific requirements

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the app functions properly, but we cannot guarantee perfect performance on all devices or in all conditions.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• We shall not be liable for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill
• We shall not be liable for any personal injury or property damage resulting from your use of the app
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app (which is zero, as the app is free)

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

You may stop using StepPup at any time by deleting the app from your device.

We reserve the right to:

• Terminate or suspend your access to the app for violations of these terms
• Remove you from Game Center leaderboards for cheating or manipulation
• Discontinue the app or any features at any time without notice

Upon termination, your license to use the app ends immediately. Sections regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability survive termination.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do:

• The "Last Updated" date at the top will be revised
• Material changes will be communicated through the app or App Store update notes
• Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms

We encourage you to review these terms periodically to stay informed about your rights and obligations.

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the app shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
